What does Psalms 73:26 mean?

The psalmist is being honest about exhaustion, disappointment, and the limits of what our bodies and emotions can endure. When everything inside us feels depleted or broken, this verse points to something that doesn't fail: God's steadiness and his commitment to us. The word "portion" suggests God isn't just a distant helper but our deepest resource, the thing we're built to rely on. In hard seasons especially, this reminds us that our weakness doesn't disqualify us from experiencing God's strength, and that leaning on him isn't a backup plan but the main thing we're actually designed for.
