Psalms 65:5
“By awesome deeds of righteousness, you answer us, God of our salvation. You who are the hope of all the ends of the earth, of those who are far away on the sea;”
What does Psalms 65:5 mean?
God responds to our deepest needs through His powerful and righteous actions, not because we've earned it, but because He is fundamentally committed to our rescue and wholeness. The psalmist recognizes that this saving character of God isn't meant only for one nation or group, but extends to everyone everywhere, whether they live near or far, whether they have easy access to God's community or feel isolated on distant shores.
