Psalms 54:5
“He will repay the evil to my enemies. Destroy them in your truth.”
What does Psalms 54:5 mean?
When David wrote this, he was facing people who wanted to harm him, and he was calling on God to be his defender. The psalmist isn't asking for revenge out of personal anger, but rather trusting that God sees the injustice and will set things right according to his nature and justice. "Destroy them in your truth" means God will act based on what is actually real and right, not on emotion or favoritism.
