What does Psalms 50:5 mean?

God is calling together those who belong to him, people who have entered into a real relationship with him through sacrifice. In the ancient world, making a covenant meant making a binding agreement, and sacrifice was how people sealed that agreement with God, showing their commitment and trust. The psalm reminds us that God sees and honors those who have genuinely turned toward him, not just those who go through religious motions. If you've made that sincere commitment to follow God, you're part of the gathered community he's calling to himself.
