What does Psalms 36:5 mean?

The psalmist is overwhelmed by how vast and reliable God's love actually is. Instead of describing kindness as something small or local, the writer stretches our imagination to the heavens themselves, as if God's care is so immense it fills the entire sky. The point isn't that God's love is distant or untouchable, but rather that it's boundless and completely dependable, stretching further than we can even measure. This is deeply encouraging when we're struggling to believe we're cared for. The psalmist is essentially saying: even when you can't see it or feel it, God's faithful love is still there, covering everything, unchanging. It's the kind of love that doesn't run out or fail based on our circumstances.
