What does Psalms 34:2 mean?

When the psalmist says his soul will boast in God, he's not talking about arrogance, but about wholehearted celebration and gratitude. He's promising to tell others openly about God's goodness in his life, not to draw attention to himself, but to point them toward the source of his joy. What makes this beautiful is that he knows this kind of honest praise resonates with people who feel small or struggling, the ones who've learned they can't fix everything on their own. When we speak about how God has helped us through difficulty or held us close in confusion, we give permission for others to do the same and to believe that help is possible for them too.
