What does Psalms 27:1 mean?
The psalmist is declaring trust so complete that fear loses its grip. When God is your light (guiding you through darkness) and your salvation (protecting and rescuing you), there's no enemy or threat large enough to shake your foundation. The questions aren't really questions—they're declarations that fearlessness becomes logical when you're anchored to someone infinitely stronger than any danger you face. This confidence doesn't mean life is easy or that hard things won't come. Rather, it's the settled assurance that whatever arrives, you're not facing it alone or relying only on your own strength. That's what shifts everything from "How can I possibly handle this?" to "Why would I be afraid?"
