What does Psalms 25:14 mean?

When we "fear" God in the Biblical sense, it means we hold him in awe and respect his authority over our lives. The Psalmist is saying that this kind of reverence creates an intimate relationship with God, one he calls friendship. It's a beautiful promise that God doesn't remain distant or unknowable, but actually draws close to those who honor him and seek to follow his ways. Through that closeness, he reveals the depth of his commitment to us, showing us what his covenant (his binding promise and agreement) truly means in our daily lives.
