Psalms 23:3
“He restores my soul. He guides me in the paths of righteousness for his name’s sake.”
What does Psalms 23:3 mean?
When you're worn down by life, emotionally depleted or spiritually lost, God's restoration is gentle and personal. The psalmist isn't talking about fixing circumstances so much as healing what's broken inside you, returning you to wholeness and peace. The second part doesn't mean God guides us so we can earn points or impress him. Rather, when we walk the path of what's right and true, we naturally experience his goodness, and that goodness reflects his character to the world around us. It's less about divine scorekeeper and more about a shepherd who wants his sheep to thrive because that's who he is.
