What does Psalms 21:8 mean?

When the psalmist speaks of God's hand finding enemies, he's expressing confidence that nothing escapes God's notice and that justice ultimately rests in God's hands. The repeated image of God's hand (mentioned twice for emphasis) conveys both the certainty and the personal nature of God's awareness, making clear that those who oppose God and his people cannot hide or escape accountability. This isn't primarily about vengeance in a petty sense, but rather about trusting that God sees wrongs clearly and will address them in his time. For someone facing opposition or injustice, these words offered ancient reassurance that their suffering wasn't invisible to heaven and that they didn't have to take all matters into their own hands.
