What does Psalms 18:41 mean?
When people turn away from God and then find themselves in real trouble, their cries for help often go unanswered, even when they finally call out to him. This isn't because God enjoys withholding rescue, but because there are real consequences to ignoring him over time, and sometimes those consequences can't simply be reversed by a desperate prayer. The psalm reflects a hard truth: God respects our freedom enough to let us experience the weight of our choices, especially when we've chosen to live as though he doesn't matter.
