“With the pure, you will show yourself pure. With the crooked you will show yourself shrewd.”
What does Psalms 18:26 mean?
God meets us where we are and responds to the orientation of our hearts. When someone approaches Him with genuine, open sincerity, they experience His goodness and purity directly. But when someone comes to Him with twisted motives or a bent toward deception, He responds with wisdom that exposes those crooked intentions, refusing to be manipulated. This doesn't mean God changes His nature, but rather that our own spiritual condition shapes what we perceive and receive from Him.
