Psalms 142:2
“I pour out my complaint before him. I tell him my troubles.”
What does Psalms 142:2 mean?
When we're overwhelmed, sometimes we think we need to have it all together before we can approach God, but this psalm shows us something different. The writer is literally emptying out everything: frustrations, fears, the weight of what's happening. There's no filtering, no pretending things are fine. He's trusting that God can handle the raw, messy truth of what's really going on inside. That kind of honest pouring out, without needing to polish it into something acceptable first, is what opens the door to actually being heard and held.
