Psalms 139:6
“This knowledge is beyond me. It’s lofty. I can’t attain it.”
What does Psalms 139:6 mean?
The psalmist is overwhelmed by how completely God knows him, inside and out. Even after recognizing all the ways God's awareness reaches into every part of his life, he admits there's something almost too vast to wrap his mind around. It's not that he's giving up on understanding, but rather he's reaching the honest limit of what human minds can grasp about God's nature. This feeling often comes as a relief. When we stop pretending we have to fully understand everything about God, we can actually rest in the reality of being known and loved anyway. You don't need to comprehend infinity to trust it.
