Psalms 138:2

What does Psalms 138:2 mean?
When the psalmist speaks of bowing toward the temple, he's describing an ancient posture of worship, turning his whole self toward God's dwelling place. The real focus here, though, is gratitude: he's thanking God not for answers or blessings alone, but for two bedrock qualities, loving kindness and truth. These aren't distant ideas but the very character of who God is.
