What does Psalms 136:23 mean?

When we're at our lowest point, feeling forgotten or invisible, this verse reminds us that God doesn't overlook us. The psalmist is celebrating how God noticed the people of Israel when they were oppressed and powerless, stepping in to help when no one else seemed to care. That same attentiveness extends to us today, whenever we're struggling or feel diminished by circumstances. The repeated refrain about God's loving kindness lasting forever adds weight to the promise: this isn't a one-time rescue, but the steady character of who God is toward us.
