Psalms 13:6
βI will sing to Yahweh, because he has been good to me.β
What does Psalms 13:6 mean?
Even in the middle of hard questions and struggling faith, the psalmist makes a choice to sing. This isn't about pretending everything is fine or denying real pain, it's about remembering that goodness has shown up in your life before and trusting it will again. When you've been through something difficult and come out the other side, or when you notice small kindnesses in the midst of struggle, that's worth naming and even celebrating. The act of singing, of voicing gratitude out loud, actually shifts something in how we carry our burdens.
