Psalms 126:2

Then our mouth was filled with laughter, and our tongue with singing. Then they said among the nations, “Yahweh has done great things for them.”

What does Psalms 126:2 mean?

When God turns our pain into joy, it's so real and overwhelming that we can't help but express it. Our whole being—our mouth, our voice, our very speech—overflows with laughter and songs of praise because what happened to us is simply too good to keep quiet. The second part shows how genuine and visible this transformation becomes: people around us, even those who don't share our faith, notice the change and recognize that only God could have brought us through such a dramatic shift. It's a portrait of relief so complete that it becomes a witness to God's faithfulness.
