What does Psalms 119:95 mean?

When trouble closes in and people wish you harm, the natural response is fear or anger. The psalmist feels hunted, yet rather than obsessing over the threat or plotting revenge, he deliberately turns his attention to God's teachings and instructions. By choosing to meditate on what God values and has revealed, he's not pretending the danger doesn't exist, but he's refusing to let it become the center of his world. It's a quiet, steady way of saying: "I will not let fear have the last word. I will remember what's true and good instead."
