What does Psalms 119:38 mean?
God's promises to us aren't just comforting words, they're meant to be kept. When the psalmist asks God to fulfill what he's promised, he's expressing both trust and urgency, because he knows that God's faithfulness in following through is what reveals how truly trustworthy and powerful God is. When we see God actually come through for us, it naturally awakens reverence in our hearts, not from fear of punishment but from awe at who God truly is.
