What does Psalms 119:32 mean?

The psalmist isn't describing reluctant obedience here, but eager, joyful pursuit. When someone truly experiences freedom in their heart, they naturally move toward what's good, the way a released bird naturally takes flight. This captures something counterintuitive but deeply true: real freedom isn't found in doing whatever we want, but in having our deepest desires aligned with what's right. The "path of commandments" becomes less like a narrow constraint and more like a clear road we're excited to travel because we've been set free from the things that were actually holding us back.
