What does Psalms 119:143 mean?

When everything falls apart, it can feel impossible to find anything worth holding onto. The psalmist is honest about this, naming real distress without softening it, yet in that same moment declares that God's guidance brings joy. This isn't about pretending troubles don't exist or forcing yourself to feel happy, but rather about recognizing that even in the darkest seasons, there's something solid and good we can turn toward. God's direction for living, though it asks much of us, offers a kind of delight that suffering alone cannot touch or take away.
