What does Psalms 119:122 mean?

The psalmist here is asking God to protect him from those who abuse power and look down on others. "Ensure your servant's well-being" is a direct plea for God's care and safety, while the second part names a specific threat: proud people who use their strength to push others around. It's a honest prayer from someone feeling vulnerable, asking God to stand between them and those who would exploit them. Many people going through difficult seasons recognize this experience—when we feel small and others seem to take advantage—and find comfort knowing the Bible gives us permission to ask God directly for protection.
