Psalms 118:13
“You pushed me back hard, to make me fall, but Yahweh helped me.”
What does Psalms 118:13 mean?
There's a raw honesty in this verse that feels very human. The psalmist is saying that someone or some force came against them with real intensity, determined to knock them down, and they were genuinely in danger of falling. But in that moment of being pushed hardest, God stepped in and held them up. It captures something many of us experience: the relief of finding we're not alone when we're under pressure, and the quiet strength that comes from knowing we have help we didn't have to earn or ask for loudly enough to be heard.
