Psalms 115:17
“The dead don’t praise Yah, neither any who go down into silence;”
What does Psalms 115:17 mean?
This psalm acknowledges a hard truth: death silences us. Once we're gone, we can't sing praises or worship God in the ways we do now. The psalmist isn't making a theological claim about the afterlife so much as pointing out that our time to glorify God and participate in worship happens *here, in this life*. It's meant to stir us toward gratitude and action while we're still able to speak, sing, and serve.
