What does Psalms 112:10 mean?
There's something deeply human in this image of envy and loss. The psalm describes what happens when people bent on doing harm witness God's blessing on those who live with integrity and reverence for him, and they're forced to face what their own choices have cost them. That grinding of teeth speaks to the frustration and rage of watching good things flourish in others' lives while your own path of selfishness leaves you empty. The "melting away" isn't necessarily about physical disappearance, but about the slow erosion that comes from a life built on grasping and harm rather than generosity and wisdom.
