Psalms 111:4
“He has caused his wonderful works to be remembered. Yahweh is gracious and merciful.”
What does Psalms 111:4 mean?
God's gracious nature shows itself through the remarkable things he does, which are worth remembering and reflecting on. The psalmist is saying that when we recall God's faithfulness in our own lives and in history, we're actually discovering something true about who he is: someone who bends toward us with kindness and tenderness rather than harsh judgment. This can be comforting when you're struggling to believe God cares, because you can look back at moments when his help came through, however small they seemed at the time.
