Psalms 104:14
βHe causes the grass to grow for the livestock, and plants for man to cultivate, that he may produce food out of the earth:β
What does Psalms 104:14 mean?
God provides for all living things by making the earth fertile and productive. The psalmist sees in nature's cycles a generous design: grass flourishes to feed animals, and soil yields crops that humans can tend and harvest. There's something deeply reassuring in recognizing that we're not left to fend for ourselves in an empty world, but instead placed in a creation already equipped with what we need. It's an invitation to notice and be grateful for the everyday provision we often take for granted, from the humblest grass to our daily bread.
