Psalms 100:2
“Serve Yahweh with gladness. Come before his presence with singing.”
What does Psalms 100:2 mean?
The psalmist is inviting us to approach God not out of grim duty or fear, but with genuine joy and celebration. Serving God and worshiping him should flow from a heart that's actually glad to be there, not dragged along reluctantly. This doesn't mean you have to feel happy every single moment you pray or worship, especially if you're struggling right now. Rather, it's an invitation to let your relationship with God be marked by a fundamental trust and gratitude, even when emotions are complicated.
