Psalms 10:4

What does Psalms 10:4 mean?
Pride has a way of crowding everything else out, and according to this psalm, it leaves no space for God. The psalmist is describing someone so consumed with their own importance and self-sufficiency that they simply don't consider the Lord or their accountability to him. It's not necessarily that they're denying God exists, but that their inflated sense of self makes God irrelevant to how they live. This matters because it captures something true about how we drift from God: often it's not through dramatic rebellion but through a quiet self-reliance where we stop looking upward. When we're convinced we have everything figured out and don't need help, wisdom, or direction from anyone, we've created the conditions where faith becomes impossible.
