What does Psalms 1:6 mean?

The psalmist is drawing a simple but profound contrast: God is deeply aware of those who walk toward him and live with integrity, while those who deliberately turn away from goodness find their path leads nowhere that lasts. "Knowing the way" isn't just about God having information, it means he watches over, cares for, and sustains the righteous through their journey. The wicked's way, by contrast, doesn't just disappear, it actively destroys itself, like a path that crumbles beneath your feet. This speaks to many of us who wonder if God notices our efforts to do right, especially when it feels like nobody else does. The answer here is yes, absolutely, he sees and he's present with you. At the same time, it's a gentle warning that choosing a life against goodness isn't a secret that goes unnoticed, it's something that inevitably unravels. There's hope in knowing which way leads somewhere real.
