What does Proverbs 5:6 mean?

This passage speaks about someone (often understood as a person leading others astray, particularly through temptation) who has lost sight of what actually leads to wellbeing and wholeness. The deeper tragedy here isn't just that this person's path is destructive, but that they've become blind to it, moving through life without genuine self-awareness about where their choices are heading. There's something painfully human in this picture. We can find ourselves drifting away from what's good without fully realizing it, rationalizing our way into patterns that hollow us out. The verse invites us to pause and ask: Am I truly aware of where my habits, relationships, and decisions are actually leading me? Sometimes the most dangerous moment is when we stop noticing.
