What does Proverbs 3:9 mean?
When we honor God with our resources, we're acknowledging that everything we have ultimately comes from him. This isn't about giving until it hurts or following a rigid formula, but rather putting God first in how we handle what we've been given, whether that's money, time, talents, or opportunities. The "first fruits" language suggests that we offer our best and our beginning to God, not just whatever's left over after we've taken care of ourselves.
