What does Proverbs 28:20 mean?

There's a quiet promise buried here about what actually brings wealth in the deepest sense. The person who shows up consistently, keeps their commitments, and tends faithfully to what's in front of them finds their life naturally accumulating blessings, relationships, and the kind of security that money can't buy. By contrast, the person consumed with getting rich quick, cutting corners to accumulate more, or constantly chasing the next opportunity plants seeds of harm that eventually come back to them. It's not that wanting financial stability is wrong, but the verse points to a real human pattern: desperation and schemes tend to backfire, while integrity and steadiness create a foundation that actually holds.
