What does Proverbs 25:9 mean?
When conflict arises between you and someone else, the wise path is to work it out directly with them, speaking your concerns openly and honestly. At the same time, you're called to protect the private matters others have shared with you, even when you're frustrated or trying to make your point. This verse holds two crucial things together: the courage to address problems face-to-face, and the integrity to keep confidences sacred. It's about being brave enough to be honest while also being trustworthy enough to respect what's been shared in confidence.
