What does Proverbs 21:4 mean?

Pride and arrogance light up everything the wicked person does, and that's precisely the problem. The "lamp" here represents what guides and motivates someone, so this verse is saying that when pride is your guiding light, it corrupts every choice you make. A lifted gaze and an inflated sense of your own importance become the fuel for harmful actions and attitudes. The insight is deeply practical: our internal condition shapes everything we do, and when we're filled with self-importance, we naturally veer into behavior that hurts others and separates us from God.
