Proverbs 2:6
“For Yahweh gives wisdom. Out of his mouth comes knowledge and understanding.”
What does Proverbs 2:6 mean?
Wisdom—the ability to live well and make good choices—doesn't come from our own effort alone, but flows from God as a gift. When the verse speaks of wisdom coming "out of his mouth," it's using the image of God's words as the source, the way a spring produces water. This reminds us that when we're seeking direction in life or trying to understand a difficult situation, we're not left to figure it out by ourselves. The promise here is that God actively shares insight and understanding with those who look to him, especially through his teaching and guidance.
