What does Proverbs 14:31 mean?
When we mistreat or ignore people living in poverty, we're essentially rejecting the God who made them—saying that their lives don't matter enough to care about. This is a staggering claim, but it flows from a basic truth: if God created all people in his image, then every person has dignity and worth that deserves respect. On the flip side, when we show genuine kindness to someone struggling or in need, we're honoring God himself, acknowledging both their value and his.
