Proverbs 10:29
βThe way of Yahweh is a stronghold to the upright, but it is a destruction to the workers of iniquity.β
What does Proverbs 10:29 mean?
Following God's ways creates a refuge for those who want to live with integrity, offering them stability and protection in life. At the same time, that same path becomes ruinous for people who are committed to wrongdoing, because living against God's design eventually catches up with us. The proverb isn't saying God destroys the wicked out of cruelty, but rather that opposing His wisdom is inherently self-destructive. It's an invitation: when we align ourselves with what's good and true, we find ourselves held up rather than torn down.
