Philippians 3:9

What does Philippians 3:9 mean?
Paul is describing a complete shift in how he understands being right with God. For most of his life, he had pursued righteousness through keeping Jewish law meticulously, but he discovered that approach leaves you constantly measuring yourself and falling short. Now he's saying that true righteousness isn't something you earn or achieve, it's something you receive by trusting in Christ.
