What does Philippians 3:21 mean?
Paul is talking about a future transformation that's hard to imagine but deeply hopeful. Right now, our bodies wear out, get sick, feel limited, and remind us constantly of our weakness and mortality. But Christ has the power to remake them completely, giving us bodies like his risen body, which is glorified and no longer subject to decay or pain. The promise isn't that we escape our bodies or float away as spirits. Instead, Paul says Christ will transform these very bodies we live in now, conforming them to match his own resurrection body. This same power that raised Jesus and will one day subject all creation to him is the power working on our behalf. It's a stunning reversal: the very bodies that feel heavy with limitation will be renewed with strength and glory.
