What does Philippians 1:14 mean?

Paul is writing from prison, and instead of his imprisonment silencing the faith community, it's having the opposite effect. Seeing Paul's courage and conviction while facing real danger has given other believers the confidence to speak openly about their faith too, even when it carries risks. His example shows them that their confidence should rest on God, not on whether circumstances feel safe or comfortable. In hard times, one person's steady faith can become a catalyst that strengthens many others to live out what they believe.
