What does Numbers 9:4 mean?

Moses is reminding the Israelites about one of their most sacred practices, the Passover meal that commemorates their deliverance from slavery in Egypt. This wasn't just a one-time event they could forget about, but something God wanted them to observe regularly as a community, passing the story and its meaning down through generations. By gathering together to remember how God freed them, they would stay connected to that foundational act of salvation and teach their children what it meant to be God's people. Even in the wilderness, uncertain about what came next, this familiar practice would have grounded them in the promise that God had already proven faithful to them.
