What does Numbers 34:23 mean?

This verse is part of God's instructions to Moses about dividing the promised land among the twelve tribes. Each tribe needed a representative leader to oversee the fair distribution of territory, and Hanniel was chosen to represent the tribe of Manasseh (one of Joseph's two sons, whose descendants formed their own tribe). The careful naming of these leaders shows that God didn't leave such an important task to chance or favoritism, but appointed specific people to ensure the process was honest and orderly. It's a small detail in a longer list, but it reminds us that faithfulness in practical, administrative tasks matters just as much as grand spiritual moments.
