What does Numbers 33:31 mean?

During Israel's forty years of wandering in the desert after leaving Egypt, the people made many stops along the way, and this verse simply records one of those stations: they moved from Moseroth and set up camp at Bene Jaakan. While these place names might seem like bare geography to us now, they represent real miles traveled, real struggles faced, and real progress toward the promised land, even when the journey felt impossibly long. For anyone feeling stuck in a difficult season, these travel logs remind us that God's people moved through their wilderness one step at a time, and so can we.
