What does Numbers 32:6 mean?

Moses is calling out two tribes who want to settle on the east side of the Jordan River rather than cross over to fight for the promised land with everyone else. His question carries real weight: how can you stay comfortable while your brothers face danger and uncertainty? He's not just asking about fairness, though that matters, but about what it means to belong to a community and share in both its struggles and its victories. Sometimes the hardest part of faith isn't what we're asked to do, but whether we're willing to do it alongside others instead of sitting safely on the sidelines.
