Numbers 32:14
““Behold, you have risen up in your fathers’ place, an increase of sinful men, to increase the fierce anger of Yahweh toward Israel.”
What does Numbers 32:14 mean?
Moses speaks these words to the Israelites as they're about to enter the promised land, and they sting because they're true. The people have just complained and doubted God's goodness after hearing the report from the promised land, following the pattern of their parents who died in the wilderness for the same faithlessness. Moses isn't being harsh for its own sake; he's calling them to see the weight of repetition: another generation, same doubts, same refusal to trust.
