What does Numbers 3:6 mean?

The Levites were being formally assigned to work alongside Aaron, the high priest, to help with all the sacred duties in the tabernacle. This wasn't meant to be a position of lower status, but rather a genuine partnership where their service was essential to keeping Israel's worship running. God was honoring the tribe of Levi by choosing them for this responsibility, recognizing that the work of maintaining faith and community requires many hands working together. If you're in a position where you're supporting someone else's calling, this reminds us that such work has real dignity and purpose.
