What does Numbers 28:29 mean?
This verse is part of detailed instructions for the daily grain offering that accompanied animal sacrifices in the temple. Each lamb sacrificed required a specific amount of fine flour mixed with oil, and this line specifies that one tenth of an ephah (a measurement of dry goods) went with each of the seven lambs mentioned in the preceding verses. These precise measurements might seem tedious to us now, but they reflected how seriously the Israelites took their worship, treating God's instructions with care and exactness.
