What does Numbers 28:18 mean?

On the first day of Passover, God called Israel to gather together in worship and set aside their ordinary work. This wasn't just a suggestion, but a commanded holy day, a time when the people were to prioritize connection with God and remembrance of their liberation from Egypt. The principle here is that some days matter differently, some rhythms of life are meant to interrupt our normal routines and refocus us on what's sacred. Many of us know how easy it is to let every day blur together, but this verse reminds us that intentional rest and worship have always been part of how God cares for his people.
